Grand Lake is a shallow (25 feet) lake with a limestone bottom located 20 miles north of Alpena, Mi. and 3 miles inland from Lake Huron near Presque Isle Harbor. The limestone doesn’t allow for many weeds to grow. There are 19 islands in this 3 mile wide and 12 mile long lake. Being so shallow the lake warms up very early in the summer and has a very pretty color due to the lime bottom. The islands are full of trees so color tours by boat in the fall are amazing.
Our lot is located in the most northeast corner of the lake just a few hundred feet from the association boat launch.

We are members of the Presque Isle Harbor Association. There is an annual dues of $170 and along with that comes a club house off the lake with full kitchen, banquet room, gym, showers, game room, full size indoor pool, hot tub, large sitting room, tennis courts. Also on Lake Huron near the harbor is a club house and beach for members only. The boat launch seen from our property is for members only and also has a beach house with bathrooms and changing rooms. There is also a camp ground available off the lake for association members only. All roads in the association have been paved and the house next to us is 6000 sq ft and a new one is being built on the other side.
There is a canal separating the lake shore from the main property. Our idea was to put a bridge across the water and use the “island” as an area for entertaining or picnic grounds.
The lot is 80’ by 217’ the 80’ being on the water, and is fully wooded. There are some building restrictions that apply due to the association rules but not unreasonable. There is no camping allowed on the property.
