What time of year can I purchase a tree from your nursery? We dig leafing trees (deciduous) in spring prior to the trees leafing out; and in the fall after the trees begin to drop leaves. Evergreens are dug April and May, then again from September until freeze. |

How do I prepare for having a tree transplanted? Call the nursery and make an appointment to meet with us to pick out your trees. A good time to pick out a tree is during the summer months when the trees are in full bloom. We will send you home with a flag to put in your yard where you want your new tree to be installed. You will then call Miss Dig at 1-800-482-7171 and request that they check for underground utilities around the flag. You will then notify me when Miss Dig is completed and it is safe to dig. Your tree will be guaranteed for one year. |

How do I care for my newly transplanted tree? Depending on the size and location of the tree, I might request the tree to be staked for a year. The tree will require watering during our annual drought during July through September 1st. Trees will require attention for watering for several summers to help promote good root growth. You can also over water, just keep it damp. Any questions after I install your tree, please call anytime throughout the year and I will be happy to assist you anytime. |
